today's paper ended neither good nor bad, just fine. or mediocre. i'd say that word sums up this whole term for me. last paper on monday. yee hah. and a flight to catch on wednesday.

anyway i really enjoyed the course Management of People at Work (MPW), which put in more normal ntu-nus speak, organisational behaviour. smu try to be different mah, so must name differently. i enjoyed the lessons and i enjoyed my prof's sessions alot this term as compared to the last, even though i put in less effort this for my courses this term. i'd actually like to send some of them a thank you for the good time email but perhaps it might 1. sound gay and 2. seem like i'm trying to score brownie points before they release the grades. so perhaps after the grades are released then. but i might not like them as much by then.

okay today's paper was alright just that i couldn't do maybe 30 out of 105 marks so haha. but who cares it's over i can't be bothered.

so anyway i'm in a listy mood these days and here's a list of dvds i'd like to have and order from amazon. after this summer i'm going to start saving to build up my dvd collection. like a dvd a month at least. don't ask me why i do this but i simply love collection such stuff like cds and dvds. and i only like to buy code 1 dvds cos i think paying 20 to 30 bucks for a code 3 one that's packaged like a 10 bucks pirated dvd is really crap so i'd rather throw in more money and order from amazon without cuts and all and nice packaging! back in secondary school when money meant nothing to me i had 40 cds in 2 years, of which i probably have half not listened to fully. ah the folly of collecting for the sake of collections. i'd like a collection of books too, but i much prefer movies. even though i might not watch them over and over again. but well.

top of the list

1. this was a tie between transformers cartoons (the jap ones which i've not managed to find yet) and eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. since i can't find the transformers dvds i guess eternal sunshine takes top spot, and hence;

2. transformers cartoons

3. the matrix box set

and the list goes on to include Snatch, About a boy, goodbye lenin! and many many many more. aiy if i had 1000 bucks i'd be able to buy only 20 dvds so sad huh.

anyway i really find it difficult to explain this obsession with transformers. okay it's not an obsession but it's something that the girls (and some guys) never get, like why are boys still into transformers grow up already. watching a transformers cartoon simply gives me this warm fuzzy feeling that i cannot describe and i really feel happiness and joy and some glow in my soul. really. and so i still feel ultra happy when i know that they have dvds of them, just that i can't really get them here nor on amazon usa. i used to have cartons of tapes of them but aiy tapes never last. sigh.

okay back to management of people at work!

quirks of life:

1. you cannot wear contact lens for more than 6 to 7 years. i've exceeded that.

2. if you sleep after 1 am, you'll be using up the red blood cells you made from 11 pm to 1 am which are required for the next day, thus you'll be suffering from fatigue.

source - unknown.

okay since i've got enough of preparing for my stats exam and not feeling like sleeping i thought i'd blog about my bothers or whatever stuff that still bothers me up till now.

1. heights

i have an immense fear of heights so i figure it that it can be classified as a phobia. so i am heightophobic. i've never understood the thrill that people associate with climbing mountains nor standing at some highest tower looking down and all. i felt the awe of looking out of the eiffel tower overlooking paris awhile back but i was also wary of the great height and thus the great fall that awaited me should i have fallen off (somehow). but this was only cos the eiffel tower is like just metal grilles and all, i.e. see through and not solid. most of the time i'm asked how come i don't fear flying then. well when you're in an airplane it's an enclosed space so i don't feel like i'm about to fall off a ledge and into oblivion so i guess my heightophoia only extends to open spaces. i only crossed an overhead bridge on my own at the grand age of 13 and my worst memory of an overhead bridge was when i had to grab my mum's hand to cross an overhead bridge opposite the old marco polo/apollo hotel to get to the vintage isetan at beach road which doesn't exist today. i guess i was smaller than 10 then. but it's still firmly embedded in me today. so i hate heights except in enclosed spaces. so like the westin tower is fine and yes i can enjoy the view from there.

2. this memory that i have of myself crushing my brother's dragonball card when i was maybe 10 and then throwing it into the bin really bothers me till today. i can never imagine why i did that then but i guess he really irritated me with something about the card and i just took it crushed it and he was bawling his heart out. aiy i still feel bad about it but i guess my bro's forgotten bout it already. another one of those things i'll remember for life.

okay i guess this is an archive of confessions now. next up, the stupidest things i remember.

anyway,

manchester united 1 arsenal 0 as of 63rd minute. die chelski.
